You magically change the scent of an object within range, such as a sweaty shirt that can smell like lavender or vice versa. A creature can make a Wisdom (Perception) check that relies on smell to determine the real scent if it is suspicious at all.
In addition, you can immediately end the spell to detect a specific scent: such as the smell of snow, sulfur, the scent of a rose, or something similar.
When you reach certain levels you can target more objects: 2 at 5th level, 3 at 11th level, 4 at 17th level.
