You create an illusory image of the creature you touch that mimics its movements. You assign it a direction and when the original creature starts to move it does not leave any footprints or other traceable trails; instead the illusory image leaves those trails. Other than the direction it moves, it mimics exactly the creature you touch.
At Higher Levels
When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, you can target one more creature for each slot level above the 1st.
