Whispering Death

You whisper a word that contains the touch of death to a creature that you can see within range. You make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 1d8 necrotic damage. While you concentrate on the spell, the target has Disadvantage on Constitution checks and saving throws. On subsequent turns while the spell is active, it damages the creature automatically (1d8 necrotic damage). However, if you damage the target this way, it makes a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC. On a successful save, the spell ends early.

At Higher Levels

When you cast this spell using a 2nd level spell slot or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above the 1st.
